Challenging times has developed the very appropriate term of "First Responders" for those special individuals and entities who are first on the scene to provide assistance and aid in stressful, and oftentimes traumatic situations.

 

As a human service agency that has faithfully served people with challenges for over 50 years - we have experienced our own challenges as we try to meet the ever increasing needs of our consumers with ever decreasing financial resources. Out of necessity at various times SHAR has reached out for assistance, and out of gratitude, compassion, and a heart of generosity - so many others have given back!

 

On behalf of the SHAR Board of Directors, Staff and Clients, we thank you -  as our "First Responders" for the kind, heartfelt assistance you have shown us for the work we do. Some have been with us showing support for decades, and others - in recent years with our "50th Anniversary Celebration", during the COVID-19 pandemic, and in the ongoing aftermath as we all rebuild.

 

We are dedicating this page to you as our "First Responders". We recognize this acknowledgement is only the tip of the iceberg for the kindness you have shown, and all that you have given us. But we want you to know that you are appreciated and that we could not do what we do without you and your contributions. What you do and have done makes a difference!
